Arctic Peel Laser Resurfacing
Sun damaged and aging skin makes us look older and less attractive. The Arctic Peel is a minimal-downtime, pain free light laser that improves damaged skin with no medications, anesthesia, or prolonged recovery. The Arctic Peel uses lasers, which chill the skin during the procedure.
What are the after-effects of the procedure?
Depending on skin type, some patients may experience some redness and light flaking for a few days after the procedure.
Is there any pain?
Your skin is chilled with cold air during the procedure and the laser is not felt. Afterward, you may experience a mild sunburn-type discomfort that is easily controlled with Tylenol or ibuprofen.
Is there any post-procedure care?
Our medical esthetician will recommend the preferred skin care line to aid and maintain results.
How many Arctic Peels are needed?
We usually perform a series of three peels, but results may be seen with one procedure. We will repeat treatment if necessary.
How does Arctic Peel differ from light chemical peels?
Chemical peels often need pre-treatment and the depth of the peel varies. The Arctic Peel laser resurfacing is much more precise.
What about Microdermabrasion?
The Arctic Peel provides deeper resurfacing than microdermabrasion and with much more precision. Unlike microdermabrasion, which shows minimal effects even after many treatments, the Arctic Peel shows visible improvements after one treatment and continues to improve with successive treatments.
