Ambulatory Phlebectomy
Ambulatory phlebectomy is a vein treatment recommended for medium and large varicose veins. In this procedure, we pierce tiny, 2-3mm puncture holes (small stab incisions, really) into your skin. Then we hook the vein and pull it out through the small openings, one section at a time.
Ambulatory phlebectomy is an outpatient vein treatment and only requires a local anesthetic. You won’t need stitches and you won’t have scars. Best of all, you'll be back to normal activity the next day and strenuous exercise in 2 weeks.
Typical side effects include some discomfort, bruising, and bleeding.
